We do not allow children under the age of 16 to use certain website features that require personal information such as the birth chart maker, online chat forum and message boards.

The information, ideas or opinions posted through this website and online forum and message board do not necessarily reflect the views of US. We shall not assume responsibility or liability for any postings or for any claims, damages or losses resulting from their use or appearance on this website. We will sweep its message boards periodically at its discretion.

It’s recommended that visitors never give out their full name, home address, email address, telephone number, or any other personally identifiable information that would allow any other online user to contact you either online or offline.

WEBSITE FEATURES AND DEFINITIONS

BIRTH CHART INFO means your birth date, time, and location.

BIRTH CHART TOOL means the web application available at chart.geminialcott.com.

PERSONAL DATA means data about a living individual who can be identified from those data (or from those and other information either in our possession or likely to come into our possession).

USAGE DATA is data collected automatically either generated by the use of Site or from Site infrastructure itself (for example, the duration of a page visit).

Your Personal Data is collected through the Site for two primary purposes: to deliver content to you upon your request via email, to produce and display your chart at chart.geminialcott.com and to generate astrological reports that are available for purchase. We use the emails supplied through chart.geminialcott.com to deliver our ongoing communications, including without limitation to send newsletters and announce and advertise workshops.

OUR COLLECTION AND USE OF PERSONAL INFORMATION DURING SHOPIFY PURCHASES

HOW WE STORE YOUR DATA

We retain records of your purchases with us indefinitely in order to generate ongoing business intelligence. 

When you utilize the Birth Chart Tool, your Birth Chart Info is sent to a 3rd party API to receive a customized response, but not stored in any database or server. Your name and email are stored in/on our Mailchimp list (alongside any unsubscribe request to keep you opted-out if you choose to opt-out) and a database that we control and secure.

When you place an order through the Site, we will maintain your Order Information for our records unless and until you ask us to delete this information.

Your information, including Personal Data, may be transferred to – and maintained on – computers located outside of your state, province, country or other governmental jurisdiction where the data protection laws may differ from those of your jurisdiction.

If you are located outside the United States and choose to provide information to us, please note that we transfer the data, including Personal Data, to the United States and process it there.

WITH WHOM WE SHARE YOUR DATA

We do not share your Personal Data except as explicitly described in this Privacy Policy.

Contracted, third-party developers and API tools have access to Personal Information in the course of and for the sole purposes of creating, delivering, and maintaining our Birth Chart Tool. We send only the information to our API Tools necessary to obtain information about the positions of celestial objects relevant to your birth chart at the time of your birth. Both our API partners and our third party developers are subject to strict confidentiality and use restrictions which limit their handling of the Personal Data obtained during the course of providing services to us to usages in the course of operating the Birth Chart Tool.

Specifically, your Personal Data is shared as follows in connection with our Birth Chart Tool:

  • To a third-party API to obtain the contents of your chart (Birth Chart Info);

  • To our third-party servers in order to process the display of your chart, allow you to email yourself a copy of your chart, and maintain confidential records of your contact Information for future communications and account management (Birthday, Birthplace, Name, and Email associated with this info);

  • To our third-party Mailing service to transmit our communications to you (Name, Email);

  • With our dedicated development team to manage our servers, which is subject to stringent confidentiality and use restrictions in assisting us with handling your information (Birthday, Birthplace, Name, Email associated with this info);

Your Personal Data is shared as follows in connection with the remainder of our Site:

We may share, or allow access to, your Personal Data by Shopify (our online store / shopping cart software) to analyze purchase behavior and fulfill orders, Stripe (our PCI-DSS compliant payment processor) to process payments, and UPS/FedEx/USPS (shipping) to fulfill orders placed through our Site. YOUR RIGHTS WITH RESPECT TO STORED PERSONAL DATA

If you have submitted Personal Data to us, you can request to receive an exported file of the Personal Data we hold about you, including any data you have provided to us. You can also request that we erase any Personal Data we hold about you. This does not include any data we are obliged to keep for administrative, legal, or security purposes.

Please note that we are unable to remove your Personal Data from the systems or servers of third parties such as Stripe.  Please contact such third parties directly to request the modification or removal of your information from their systems.
